Found an 87 Suburban in a salvage yard.....
Would this have the 700r I need to put in my 79 pickup? What parts should I grab with the trans??
It also has a hitch on it, would that be worth grabbing as well?? Posted via Mobile Device |

If it is a 1/2 ton Suburban chances are it has the 700R4, but not a for sure thing. The hitch would be unique to the suburban for 81 up. I've never been able to sell one, always cut them up and welded it on to something else, like a trailer.

I know its an overdrive trans because of the shift indicator in the instrument cluster, Im just wondering if this would be a good candidate to get the trans and parts from for a swap.
