Re: rim/tire fitment question
Just checked TireRack.... that size is approved for 7" to 9.5" rims (with 8" being the one used for measurements). So yeah, you'll be OK with 7".

Re: rim/tire fitment question
If memory serves, the cooper cobras are very wide 275's (no 2 companies make them the same width, even though it is supposed to be a standard measurement). You may find them to be a tic to wide. They'll 'balloon out' a bit and may make handeling a bit 'squirmy'.

That said, I bet you could still run that tire on a 7" rim with little to no issues.

Re: rim/tire fitment question
the rims that came with the tires are 2 15X8 and 2 15X10 . im gonna break them down and mount them on my 15X7 set and go from there. may end up scrapping the aluminum rims that the tires came on. cant really see someone buying a mismatch set of rims?

Re: rim/tire fitment question
Factory 90-93 454SS trucks came with 15x7 wheels and 275/60/15 tires right off the showroom floor. It's a good combination.

Re: rim/tire fitment question
Hey guys, I am new to the forum but not new to building Chevys, the forum is great !! I have run 275-60-15's on 7 inch wheels many times with no issues ... great size for the back of a pickup IMO
