What direction to take with my cab
It's been a looooong time since I've posted...but I've still got my project and actually have finally got it into the garage to start working on it.
I am tearing down the cab to see what I've got to work with...it looks pretty good from the outside, but it's the inside roof that is toast! So the question is, should I repair the sections that need it (inside roof patch, drip rails, and fab some A post patches) or cut off the roof and replace the whole thing with an entire roof section. (which I have) I'm leaning towards NOT cutting the whole roof off...but what do you guys think? Has anyone done a roof patch? If so, got any good photos of the whole process?

You would probably get some good input in the paint and body section of this site. There's not too many members that frequent that forum but lots of experienced members check it out periodically. I'm not good at sheet metal work so if it were my truck, I'd look into replacing the top or the whole cab depending on how bad it is. I've got one that's not as bad as yours and am considering a different cab. The top of these trucks are not the easiest parts to fix and you may not be able to get all of the parts you're looking for. |

Thanks...I'll post it over there and see if I get some info. Can a moderator delete this post, so it's not a duplicate?
