Temp Sensor

So the sending unit for the temp sensor on my GMC is bad and I went to NAPA and got a new one, of course its the wrong one but the guy at NAPA was convinced it was the right one. After I did some reading on this site I found a site that has them, http://www.lectriclimited.com/mainpage.htm

Have any of you guys used this temp sensor? Is it the right OHMS for the gauge in our trucks, I know it said so on the site, just wanted to see if anyone else got one from here and if it worked before I order it.

Thanks!!

Smile Re: Temp Sensor

go to this site and order it for 15-20.00 and be done with it it will come complete with new black wire end look on my 1971 black truck look at the intake that is where i like to run them if you have a problem with the water neck use the 1967 327 straight water neck and find the same hose for that year for the 1967 chevy truck that had the 327 engine in it it still had the cross flow radiator

WWW.truckandcarshop.com there here in calif

You can put it on the side of the block where it was but i like it next to the thermostatic it will tell me when the truck is at its peek of getting hot

Re: Temp Sensor

keeping the sensor where it belongs in the head will tell you when the head and block are getting hot. By the time the intake hits 220, the head and block are considerably hotter.

Re: Temp Sensor

Yea I just wanted to make sure that the sensor is the right ohms because I dont want to do what I did with napa and have to send it back because its the wrong ohms. The ones you guys ordered were the right ohms right?
