1961 chevy truck rims

i have a dumb question, but i am trying to see if anyone knows if a newer chevy colorado rim will fit on my 1961 chevy truck, it is a 6x5.5 rim but i dont know if the rim will work on my truck. i like the look of the extreme rims and i wanted to try it out. any help is appreciated. thanks.

That's not a dumb question at all. I have found that the backspacing on
newer chevy rims is all wrong. Puts too much tire inside the hub.
This causes the tire to rub the wheel wells in the rear
and the top of the a-arm in the front. You can try spacers
To move the tire out.

And the hub bore is too small.

the colorado has a ~101mm centerbore. regular chevy truck wheels wont fit the colorado because it has a big centerbore, so I think they would work.

but they have high positive offset, so you would need spacers as someone said above.

you want to avoid any OE wheels from later year Chevy/GMC due to the reasons mentioned above. After market is a diffrent ballgame just keep an eye out on the back spacing 4" to 4.5 "should be ok
