Inporting U S Truck to Canada
I found a 1974 cc dually at a good price and the body is fair, problem is it sits state side, I found out a little online but its alot of mumbo jumbo.
Anybody here ever do an inport or have input ?? also would the process be easier if it came on a trailer vs being driven ? Ps im in Niagara Falls Ontario

Re: Inporting U S Truck to Canada
fairly simple to do....
just make sure you have a clear title , bill of sale and all your paperwork has to be at whatever bridge your bring it back over 72 hours prior to you bringing the truck across. when here you will have to weigh it at a public scale and bring the scale house slip and your safety check to the ministry office before you can plate it..... |

Check with that site. I was looking to bring up a '79 from Utah, and there is a lot of stuff you need, a couple documents at the customs office you plan to pass through 72 hours before you arrive. I talked with the guy for a couple weeks, at first he was a dick and didnt believe someone was going to come down from Canada to buy a truck, then I explained to him how trucks where I live are rust buckets, etc etc then he warmed up a little bit. Then when I told him I need a copy of the title forwarded to the customs house 72 hours before hand he almost **** his pants and then stopped emailing me. So I gave up and had to settle with something here. TL;DR Butt head yank (no offense to any of you) wouldn't co-operate with me buying his truck and bringing it home to Canada.
