Re: Making your own WHITE WALLS??

I had a friend that did it on a roadmaster sedan. Looked good from a distance, but crap close up. Took a ton of work.

Re: Making your own WHITE WALLS??

If your building something nice then buy them. Grinding or painting dosen't look even close in quality to actual whitewall tires.

Re: Making your own WHITE WALLS??

i did it and i learned to only do it on white letter tires they have more white under all the black than skinny whites just my experience other tires may be different i put my truck on jackstands and put it in reverse and held my angle grinder against the tire its alot of work but mine turned out pretty good just be patient

Re: Making your own WHITE WALLS??

About ten years ago you couldn't give a wide white away.. So I guess that's why I refuse to pay Corey Corker or anyone $200 for a regular radial tire..

Just my rant on them.. I think skinny whites look just as good and 1/4 of the price!!

i used to own/collect studebakers. many of them had the "add on" white walls. not horrible looking, but then again...

Re: Making your own WHITE WALLS??

Here's a good read, Cheap Wide Whitewalls (revisited) using "White Tire Paint". The raised lettering from the tire script is the giveaway with your tires.
