The Hotchkis C-10 Project
Most of you have seen our orange Project C-10 either at events or in print.
![]() Pleasanton Goodguys June, 2010 We're hard at work rebuilding the truck to make it even better for events this season and you can follow along here and on our Facebook page in the C-10 Overhaul album. Here are some images of start of the rebuild project and progress over the last few months. ![]() This makes oil changes easy. ![]() Waiting for our new engine... ![]() Where's the front of the truck? ![]() We want to keep as much of the original frame, so we fabricated super strong bracing to make up for engine clearance made in the crossmember. ![]() The GM E-Rod LS engine fit nicely right here. We'd like to encourage any of you building project vehicles with Hotchkis suspension to share your build photos with us on Facebook or here in the forums. |

Re: The Hotchkis C-10 Project
Here’s our latest beauty shots of the chassis showing off some of our handiwork and our TVS kit. We’ve also stitch-welded all the chassis seams and added a lot of strengthening braces and then had it powdercoated. The rearend was swapped out for a Cup Car style full floater setup.
Now to start getting the body mounted and get the new GMPP LS3 E-Rod crate engine fired up. It’s coupled to a new GMPP 4L65E automatic overdrive transmission and controlled by a TCI control unit and paddle shifter. The engine has a new Vintage Air Frontrunner billet serpentine drive setup. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It will be ready for some serious fun on the street, track, and autocrosses very soon! |

Re: The Hotchkis C-10 Project
Very nice, love the stance on this truck. What is the drop in ride height compared to stock? I am looking at doing a similar suspension setup because I want my truck to handle really good, also is there any chance of a frame strengthening kit like the chassis in this truck has? Thanks for any more info.

Re: The Hotchkis C-10 Project
Damn - too bad the cross member has to be clearanced - or does it? Did you do that to get the engine lower?
Sure would like to be running something like that.

Re: The Hotchkis C-10 Project
Nice project. Have you guys thought about building a rear coil spring mounting bracket that would allow for an inch or two of ride height adjustability?
