Removed power steering pump...
So i finally got tired of having my power steering system leaking all over the concrete, and i was pulling my a/c anyways. After realizing i could not remove the a/c pump without removing the powersteering pump due to belt issues, I pulled the power steering too. I have no problems at all driving it(this was my first vehicle with powersteering)
I filled the steering box(proper name?) with trans fluid and linked the lines together so its a closed circuit. My question: Is there anything else i need to worry about? This is my play truck and gets less than 100 miles a week on it. I have all new tie rods, ball joints, tires, etc. Im really only looking for people who have experience with this. Not just peoples guess.

Re: Removed power steering pump...
I'd replace the pump. They are not that pricey. Easier to explain how hard you tried to do things right in life than to explain how you really blew it.

Re: Removed power steering pump...
well honestly, i like driving w/o the powersteering. and the truck is noticeably faster. and i cant have p/s unless i put the a/c pump back on. Which for me is a problem because i could pull the valve covers or get to half of the stuff on the engine easily. Its made my life alot easier allready..
Can i pull the steering equipment off a non p/s truck and bolt in on mine?
