My new modification.
I am not keeping my 68 fully stock like my 66 so when I found this storage container under the hood of a Tahoe I bought it for 5 bucks and installed it in my truck. you can store tools in it, oil, brake fluid, whatever. The bracket is on a hinge so I can swing it out of the way when I need access for changing lights, etc..

Re: My new modification.
I think late 90's. Even says GM Truck on it.

Re: My new modification.
Finally something from a newer truck that is "worthy" of our oldies. Good idea!
Another mod similar to this would be the underhood reel type trouble light from the early 90's trucks. I added one to my stepside.

Re: My new modification.
That would be off of a c/k truck 96-99[old body style] tahoe and suburban 96-00. Most of the mid to upper trim levels had them [not on the WT or plain trucks] Hope that helps. Jim

Re: My new modification.
Thanks! The top is also good for setting bolts, screws and such in when working on your engine since it's dished.
I like the reel light idea, gonna do that next. Last edited by ubtripn; 06-07-2011 at 08:38 AM. |

Re: My new modification.
My 1970 240Z had a bullet shaped trouble light mounted on the inner fender with a toggle switch in the back, one day my best friend unscreewed the light and it had 10 feet of cord inside so you could troubleshoot with it. That blew me away.

Re: My new modification.
I've got one on my 96 1/2t. It comes in very handy for little odds and ends.
