LMC's Windshield question...Tinted vs Shaded
Going to order a new windshield for Logan's truck from LMC so I wanted some input...I know what clear is but anyone have any pictures of the other two? And what are your thoughts on all of them?...How noticeable is the green shade? Any thoughts would be great...

I have the greeen one, it is noticeable and it is correct for the period, they did not tint them gray they were green, I like mine, but it is not that in your face it just looks right. Kieth I was going to give you a link to my build so you could see the glass but I have not taken any pictures since we installed the windshield, I will try to get some later today. here is where they will be:

I would prefer the tinted one.

Re: LMC's Windshield question...Tinted vs Shaded
If the only choice was tinted or shaded (same as blended) I'd go with tinted. Many of the shaded/blended windshields I've seen are made of thin foreign glass which doesn't seal well. It seems the blending (the colored band at the top) is added to pass the glass off as an upgrade. Also on the inexpensive windshields the shade band frequently extends too far down from the top directly into the line of vision. I've seen some that literally cover the upper 40% of the glass. If you decide a shaded windshield is desirable, insist on looking at the windshield in person before accepting the glass.

You might try the local windshield guy. My uncle had one installed locally for less than LMC price. They told him if he supplied the new weatherstrip they would come to the house and install it.

if there is a PPG Glass distributor, they can get the clear one in a day or so...mine was 150.00 installed for the new glass and gasket......
I think they offered the tinted one also, but I chose the clear....

I agree on buying one local. Most glass shops should be able to get this windshield for you, plus install it.
