Truck Covers- Best Place?

What is the best place to buy truck all weather truck covers. My truck will be outside 24hrs/7 days a week and would like to keep ot covered.

What are your thoughts on Empire Covers the Titan cover or the one listed on LMC site. These are both to be outdoor covers. Not sure of quality.

California Car Cover

This has been debated before and per a few other guys, LMC sell the CHinese covers and wont last. CCC has great quality and my dad has the same one he bought 5 years ago, perfect condition.

That's what I run on mine. So far, so good (approximately 1 year old).

Re: Truck Covers- Best Place?

I have owned several different car and truck covers over the years and I have found the Budge Shield Gold truck cover to be the best for outdoor use. Here are the problems I have had with truck covers:
1) Too light weight - wear thin quickly in the AZ sun and blow off easily
2) Soft inner layer rubs off - soft sounds good but not when is sheds and leaves fuzz all over your vehicle
3) No sun protection - another too light fabric, you still need a windshield sunscreen
4) Allows rain to flow through - sounds good (breathes), but when you have
dust on your vehicle covered by a cover, then it rains, you have mud
5) Bad selller - does not stand behind product - cheated by Ebay seller hype
6) Outer surface too absorbent - bird droppings set in and don't come out.
7) Too heavy - if you lift it on and off a lot this becomes a drag, and doesn't fold up easily.
Granted, I live in the harshest climate in the world, but my guess is your place is no walk in the park.
The Budge shield truck cover will rip slightly along the edges is you let it get hooked on the bumpers by a high wind, but I learned to use small rubber coated 2" spring clips to keep the cover secure along the rocker panels.
I will sell my old gold cover someday, since I only bought it for my new trucks I have owned in the past. PM me if interested.

Re: Truck Covers- Best Place?

some good advise. Any use Empire ? Seem to be rated good and a little cheaper than Cal Car.

Re: Truck Covers- Best Place?

I've only used California Car Cover, so I can't talk about comparisons, but I can say it would be hard to imagine a cover that could be any better quality. I used one on my '56 Chevy panel outside in the weather, and it held up for 5 years without leaks. I have an indoor flannel type on my '56 F-100 indoors that's 5 years old, and it looks like new.
