quick HEI wire ?'s - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

My HEI dizzy is wired to the red wire (cant remember wich) I was reading somewere that it should be wired STRAIGHT to the fusebox?

Am i missing out on driveability/performance here? If I should rewire it, what guage of wire? Thanks

I'm thinking that will work fine. It should be the switched connector from the Ignition switch. (if that makes any sense)..

Year One sells the proper wire with the right connections on each side,the fuse box juction side is a spade terminal.It makes the HEI swap clean and easy!

I was reading somewere that it needs to be ran STRAIGHT to the fusebox etc I dunno where this wire goes on the other side, just thought id ask the forum

That box is the other side of your fuse box,you are ok! The part # for the Year One wire is LOO510 =$9.20, the tach feed line is LOO515. If your hook up is direct with no splicing then you don't need them!
