Have a question

I've seen a bunch of questions about Serpentine belt conversions but no one has asked if you need to change radiator or not. So will I need to get that along with the brackets and all?

Re: Have a question

As far as the alternator is concerned will I be able to us the one from the donor car/ truck or will I just be able to bolt my old one on the new bracket? I have a 1978 sbc 350

Re: Have a question

For the serpentine setup, you need to use the water pump from the donor vehicle. The water pump pulley spins on the back side of the belt, making it a reverse direction pump. Also, if you're using an engine fan, get the engine fan from the donor vehicle. Otherwise, it'll be blowing air oout the front of the radiator, instead of pulling it through the radiator.

If you have all the accessories from the donor vehicle, I say use them. They're designed to fit into the brackets. If you're not going to run a/c, you can get a A/C compressor delete pulley to mount in place of the compressor.

The radiator is irrelevant to the serpentine setup. Get one that fits the vehicle you're using it in. If you'r current radiator works, leave it.
