Truck names?
I'm sure this has been on here before but I havn't seen it recently. I noticed on the "how much to sell your truck" thread Old Yeller 70 refered to his truck as "him" then I came in right behind and said "she" refering to mine.
So, Is your truck a him or a her??? What about your name for your truck, and why you went for that. I'm thinking "upgrade" for mine since I'm upgrading from a 2005 F-150 to a '68 stepper.

Re: Truck names?
I've been flip floppin between Dirty Sanchez and Billy Bad *ss, neither one forum friendly. I never was one to name a vehicle or pass gender but those names came about without a concious effort.

"Sandy" it's a girl, don't think I'd feel right calling my truck a guy.

Re: Truck names?
Mine are neither. They are "its". One's the '72 and the other is the '67. When I had several trucks they were the Camper Truck, the Cheyenne Super, the Sierra Grande, the Highlander, the shortbed, the wrecker, and the short 4wd. The Cheyenne Super,Sierra Grande,Highlander, and shortbed were all '72s and the camper truck, wrecker, and shortbed 4wd were all '71s,so I couldn't just say the year. It's much simpler now.

Re: Truck names?
My truck's name is Texas Pistola. I got the name from the block off plate I made for the heater core.I used a "No concealed Weapons sign from the front of an liquor store. On the inside you can see Texas on one side and Pistola on the other.Seemed like a fitting name for my Pistol of a truck.
My Burbs name is Patina Azul.I think it fits her well.

Re: Truck names?
Mine is "lovingly" referred to as "a hole in the air, surrounded by metal, into which I pour money"....The Money Hole. Fishermen have their Honey Holes, where they can rely on catching something...my truck is reliable, too.

Re: Truck names?
I just call it "my truck" since its the only truck I have. Sometimes in a thread I call her a "she", but in conversation usually I call it an "it" (but never a "he").

Mines Experimental. Used to work at an airport when I was young and a friend stuck an experimental sticker on my back window on the 1970 LWB truck I had, names been with my trucks every since, even had a personal tag that was XPRMNTL.

Re: Truck names?
When I got my truck it came with the name of Betsy, as in Betsy Beater. I call it the orange truck... however it has since been rattle canned black but I owned it for 10+ years with it being orange so it's still the orange truck. My girlfriend calls it the BO truck (Black/Orange) so it gets called alot of things. My yellow truck was nicked named Gladis and my Superduty took on the role of Big Delorous so apparently those 3 are girls. The other 10 are nameless!

Re: Truck names?
I could use something here. as since I brang it home my 3 year old has already named it "Poopy Green" non gender specific of course. I plan to repaint the orginal Med Olive, so Im going to have to think of a snappy 3 yr old approved name that beats out poopy.... not going to be easy.

Re: Truck names?
I call HER "RATIKLE.
I'm going with a "Rat Fink" Theme throughout it, and from my H.S. Years when you'd see a Hot Car and say "That's Radicle", so I morphed the 2 together.
