Questions for the Porterbuilt dropmembered guys

I did a test run on putting the motor in. In order for there to be room between the pan and rack and pinion I needed to tilt the motor back. This is how far it needed to go back to fit a piece of paper between the pan and rack. Does this look normal to you guys? Ivee been trying to find some pictures of motor shots but there doesn't seem to bee much.

Something is definately not right there. Although Im not running a dropmembr but rather a Suicide Doors raised crossmember, the basic setup is pretty much the same. My motor is still at the same basic level it was stock, but raised just a little. Nate has always been VERY supportive to any of his customers, even to me when I had some questions and was running a different crossmember. Im sure he will chime in here and have some answers for you.

Did you check the angle on the transmission tailshaft? Mine looks similar to that but I don't have the body on to know if it's that tilted. It does move the motor up 1.5" and forward about 1.5" so this could be correct.

After emailing back and forth with Nate he thinks I have a SBC drop member. He has a jig made up to make different motor mounts (probably has happened before). He's going to make some new mounts.
As for the angle, I don't have the tranny on yet. If i measure off of the head it is just shy of 9 degrees. Nate says it should be around 5-6 degrees.
