71 Cab Light Qs

I ordered my new cab lights from NAPA #1313A, and they should be in tomorrow.

https://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/C...218619181&An=0

I was hoping to use the old 193 sockets with the new base and lens but the old sockets are very brittle. Most of the pigtails are very short. Any recomendations or experience whith swapping these out wiring wise?

Re: 71 Cab Light Qs

I put new sockets in a '70 and used that liquid electric tape over the splices.

Re: 71 Cab Light Qs

Thanks K.
I found my cab light harness where it comes down the left windshild pillar, through a gromet and is not connected to anything. Black wire has a sheet metal ground clip and the brown wire has a female connector for a spade. I pulled the headlight switch which my guess is not origional (says made in Mex and looks too clean) and there is no place to hook up the power wire. Did 1 tons have their own switch or is there another switch for ICC lights?
