Anyone know of a GMC 228 engine rebuild manual??
I know they make them for SBC's, BBC's, Pontiac's, Chrysler's....
Maybe I'm looking for something that doesn't exists? I've never rebuilt an engine in my life, so having a manual would be nice, especially with these old motors. Anyone know how different they are from a Chevy 216/235??

Re: Anyone know of a GMC 228 engine rebuild manual??
You need a shop manual for the truck, It will have the info you want.
Plan on spending about 3k on the rebuild. Parts are rare and expensive for 228. Good thing is it uses shell type rods and mains but will cost about $400. This book should be helpful http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CHEVR...sQ5fLiterature |
