12 bolt cover

Does anybody know if the Moser or Strange cast aluminum covers will clear the panhard bar on our trucks ('65 C-10 not lowered)?

Re: 12 bolt cover

I didn't use one of those covers, but I did go with a bigger polished alum cover. I ended up going with the CPP Deluxe Track Bar. It clears my cover by about an inch.

Re: 12 bolt cover

blacke,

I didn't use one of those (they look nice by the way) but I used another finned aluminum cover. I had to fab an offset tracbar to clear it. There is very little clearance and the stock cover is almost flat.

Here is a picture.

Re: 12 bolt cover

That looks like the same cover I went with. Sticks out about 5" from the rear end cover surface. The CPP bar just clears it.

Nice bar you made there!

Re: 12 bolt cover

I like the cover TR65 used but I know it won't fit. Thats why I'm wondering if the others will without changing out the stock panhard bar.

I guess I will have to call moser and get some specs from them.

Re: 12 bolt cover

Well I was able to get a break and visit the Moser trailer at this past weekends NHRA event. They had the cover in stock on their race support trailer (for whatever reason) and after checking it out closely I think it will clear on a non lowered truck.

Will be ordering it this week (couldn't carry it home on my motorcycle).
