Towing Mirrors for 85 Crew Cab?

What sort of attachable towing mirrors were used on the 85 long box crew cabs?

I've seen black plastic ones that fit over the regular side mirrors.

Was there a metal or chrome alternative that was commonly used, other than something that would entirely replace the original chrome side mirrors?

Re: Towing Mirrors for 85 Crew Cab?

Funny, I just came across my old black plastic one this weekend while going thru some stuff in the garage. I had never actually used it on the '85 pickup to me recollection, so i gave it a test-fit, and it was like a hand in a glove, I was quite impressed.

i actually used the add-on mirror on my old S-Series, I don't reccall ever having it on my '85 truck before. It sure is not pretty on there, but it would serve it's purpose at least. I have not seen any other 'temporary' type towing mirrors.
