Looking for a picture of an Edelbrock 1405 installed

For some reason, my throttle linkage isn't going back to idle when I let up off the gas pedal. I'm guessing I'm missing a spring somewhere, and I have some ideas where I could hook one, but I'd like to see what the actual install is supposed to look like if someone has a picture of the throttle linkage side if that is where a spring is supposed to go.

THanks!

Re: Looking for a picture of an Edelbrock 1405 installed

I have to head out the door for work in a few minutes, so no pictures, but...

My truck has the 1405 from the previous owner, (my late uncle). The spring is connected to the upper radiator hose clamp. It's the typical worm gear type clamp and the spring is hooked into one of the holes in the band.

It's not the best solution, but it's "functional". Ultimately I'd like to install an original Quadtrajet. The original one was stolen back in the 90s.

I believe Edelbrock sells a bracket for the spring.

My return spring is hooked to a small hole/tab on the thermostat housing.

So I should put a spring on the top part of the throttle linkage? I was looking at it thinking I would put it on the bottom where there was an open hole and run it backwards to the throttle bracket. But at least I know there should definitely be a spring on it which helps.

I've used a bracket like this link. Used an intake bolt to bolt it to.
