Anybody know where I can get a replacement pressed in nut. I guess that is what you call it. see the pics. This is on top of the core support.

I plan to cut out and weld in a new piece, then drill the hole. just need to know where to get the nutsert.

Try a local body shop, they probably deal with that stuff all the time.

www.northlandfasteners.com/ may have it. They have all kinds of stock type nuts and bolts cheap. I bought all new fender/body bolts from them and they have great service and will help if you email. I spoke with a guy named Sean

If all else fails, just weld a strip of 1/4 thick steel across the hole then drill and tap it.

If you would like an easy fix,
weld a flanged nut onto an oversized washer, then weld the washer to the core support. seeing that there is already an oversized hole the flanged nut should seat nicely. all you would be left with is an 0.0625" to 0.125" step in thickness just my 0.02$ |

I am doing a frame off and want to make it look the best I can.

I told him the bolt size and this is what he said. They really know there stuff and this shows they have great customers assistance
Those are not on our web page right now but they are either part number N16184 or N16194. N16184 run $7.15 per package of 4 plus S&H. N16194 run $5.74 per 4 plus S&H. The N16184 is aluminum and easier to pull. The N16194 is steel. If he wants to order them he can fill out the put a link to below. The S&H for up to about four packages would be $6.50. Menards has them ! By the rivets section. They have a special tool to install them. They sell that too.
