67 parts wanted

I am looking for some 67 only vent windows, outer door handle and a upper door hinge. Im looking for a black and a chrome 67 only drivers side vent window assembly. Also a 67 only driver side outside door handle. Also a rebuildable upper driver side door hinge.
Also looking for a 67-72 rear white only rear step bumper. ( patina would be great)

Re: 67 parts wanted

I have a one only Chrome/black vent window for a 67, but until i get home I don't recall if it's driver side or not. But I do believe it is. I'll post up tonight what I have.

Re: 67 parts wanted

If Drew doesn't have the correct side of vent windows, I've got a few to choose from as well.
I do have the door handle and hinge. I just dragged this stuff out of storage so I'll return to post
pics later today after I get them cleaned up a tad.

Re: 67 parts wanted

Here's the door handle and hinge.

EDIT: Hinge shown is not correct for 1967. See post #18
Jeepers...learn something new everyday!

Handle has tiny pits on top surface, latch works smoothly.
Hinge is fine. Asking $35 for both parts + shpg (9.37 USPS Priority)

Gunna wait on the vents until Drew responds yay or nay.

Re: 67 parts wanted

Also the bolts that hold the handle to the door go straight in instead of at an angle, (the outside door handles are 67 only)

Re: 67 parts wanted

One could still use the later year handles on a 67, right?

Re: 67 parts wanted

The 67 only doors have a bracket welded in the inside. That makes the bolts go in straight and not at a angle. Also the doors have a dimple around the bolt area. The best i remember.

Got me curious what problem i had with my door hidge a couple years ago. I think it is the locking mechanism. If i get away from this OT, i will go look.

Re: 67 parts wanted

As it turns out the hinges are different. The hinge I photo'd in post #6 matches a 1971 hinge.
The following pics are of the '71 hinge compared with a 1967 and a 1968.

Hook not the same, landing for hook when extended was flat on later hinges; earlier has a indentation.
Stop different profile. (1 & 3) Also, later model hinge has a step cast into one leg. (2)
Channel for stop is longer (by a tad) on the '71. (4) Machined hole for hook is WAY longer on the '67/'68's. (5)

Re: 67 parts wanted

Thanks for pictures. I couldnt remember what was a little different, but i new that i couldnt use the locking part on my 67. I was trying to save my patinaed white hidge. Im sure you can use the complete hidge off of a newer model. I had a 68 truck at time and the hidge part wouldnt work off of it. I had dozens of hidges off, but all were different.
Thanks

I feel your pain on that. I changed the door (with hinge) on a '68 years ago and had to bungee the door closed.
Never did fit and I didn't realize the '67-72 truck's hinges changed year to year until now.

With your fleet of trucks and some more input, we should be well on our way to a FAQ.
(Plus help for you're quest)

Mark (Livrat) & I pulled the '67 & '68 hinges today off of his stock doors so we believe the pics are correct per year.

One of the guys today (yes you, Gary) mentioned that some of the '67 hinges may have been leftovers
from the '66 trucks.

We may need some input (Pics!) from the pre-67 crowd here...the '67's may have been a mixed bag.

Any pics of yours for comparison?

I don't feel so bad now that I bead blasted the white patina off the '71 hinge.
..jess trying to make it look photo-pretty

If I find your white patina'd hinge...it won't be molested.
