Ooops cut to much.
Lowered the front last weekend. Cut the coils to much... I am going to get me another used set soon. My question is can I go with air shocks in the front I have them in the back. I need new front shocks any way and I figured if I go with air shocks I can fill with extra air for the meantime.

Re: Ooops cut to much.
I've never seen an airshock for a c-10 front suspension application. Buy new springs.

Re: Ooops cut to much.
buy new springs, also you might consider replacing your sway bar mounts to the lower profile mounts for lowered applications.

Re: Ooops cut to much.
Or, you can remove the existing mounts & trim the sway-bar bushing bracket (piece that holds the bushing in place) so it fits on the top side of the existing bracket vs under it. Then reinstall the mounts w/bolts. This relocates the sway bar higher for sweat equity.

Re: Ooops cut to much.
No, you do not want air shocks. Even if you find a set that will fit, they will ride like crap. Do yourself a favor and use a good quality replacement shock once you get the spring issue corrected.

Re: Ooops cut to much.
How much spring did you cut?
1/2 coil usually equals about 1" of drop.

Re: Ooops cut to much.
No, to the air-shocks. The mounts can't take the weight of the truck, they will break something...

Re: Ooops cut to much.
Thank you guys, picture (1) before I began. picture (2) 1st coil cut on driverside, way too much tire rubbed wheel well. picture (3) 2nd set coils too much. I hope the third set will be the last. I hope I don't screw things up when I go do the back.
