'66 Chevy C-20
I am new to this forum. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to build a hot rod out of a old Chevy Truck. Well I finally got serious about finding a truck and was lucky enough to purchase this truck for a screamin' deal with the help of a friend of mine who is a member on this site.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=423724 Its a '66 Chevy C-20, Camper Special, 292, 4 speed, 98K original miles. I am the third owner of the truck. The guy I bought it from got it from his uncle who bought it new in 1966. Here are a few pics of the truck. It has a few surface rust spots that where just painted over and a big dent in the rear fender that was filled with bondo that is now falling off. Unfortunately whoever painted this truck did not do the kind of job this truck deserves. I have big plans for this truck and I am going to drive it as much as possible during the build. My 8 year old son is as excited about this truck as I am.

Re: '66 Chevy C-20
Great find! Lot's of goodies on it.
Is the bracket that bolts to the 6cyl. head for the Harrison A/C compressor pressed steel or cast? Sorry, I'm selfishly inquisitive.

I still need to figure out reverse lights and both front blinkers/parking lights. Haven't started on those yet.

Re: '66 Chevy C-20
That is an awsome truck! I just picked up a 64' c20 myself with a 305 V8 and 4 speed with granny low, that I plan to make a hot rod out of as soon as I get healed up from my broken back lol
