Best Fuel pump for LQ4?
I am putting a 30 Gallon tank from NWFab into a 72 blazer running an LQ4. I wanted to find out what the best fuel pump assembly there is for a daily driver application. I have seen some kits from FAST that were around $320, but I am wondering if i need to go that route. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

Re: Best Fuel pump for LQ4?
Need a 255 pump to keep up with the 58PSI. Doesnt matter if its intank or rail mount. I am using a ebay "E2000" pump on the rail and is works well.
Walbro should have a drop in pump for that tank to fit the GM basket.

Re: Best Fuel pump for LQ4?
I guess are there any kits that are the best is what I am asking. I am looking for something with SS lines if possible. Pump, filters, tubing, return, etc.

Re: Best Fuel pump for LQ4?
Kit is a bad word. It just ends up meaning that you THINK you have everything, until you actually go to do the job lol. Besides that, prebent fuel lines IMO usually suck.
255 lph pump, decent filter (make sure its safe for FI applications, summit has plenty), plus a few quick disconnects and some FI safe fuel line and your done. If you want to spend a little more, you can get braided lines made up for the supply and return from the engine back to the hard tubing. They are easy enough to assemble in the garage, its not always worth paying for the application specific braided lines. My fuel system is; 16 gal sumped alum tank -> an to 3/8 FI line->an to pump->255 lph pump->Earls filter->3/8 hard line->hard line to an->an to SS braided->braided to 3/8 quick disconnect-> stock reg assembly-> 5/16 quick disconnect to braided-> SS braided -> an to hard tube-> 5/16 hard tube->return to tank.

Re: Best Fuel pump for LQ4?
I run rubber EFI hose from tank to filter to pump to vette filter/reg and more EFI rubber hose to fuel rail. simple and "cheap"

Re: Best Fuel pump for LQ4?
I originally did the same, but when I heard about the change in nhra rules about rubber hose, I decided to run braided just in case.,

Re: Best Fuel pump for LQ4?
I have the blazer tank installed in my c10. I understand that the fuel pumps prefer to "push" rather then pull the fuel. Will a Walbro or E2000 pump on the frame rail hold up to pulling the fuel from the tank or is it absolutely necessary to install a pump in the tank? It would be a 6.0L LS engine if that matters.

Re: Best Fuel pump for LQ4?
Mines worked for about 5000 miles so far pulling from the frame rail through a prefilter and then out through the Corvette filter regulator. Just a little heads up. Summit sells the Corvette filter regulator for $39 bucks. Wics brand. I just got it with my fittings as well. Good luck. Jim
