need a shifter stick
My 63 has an m-20 with a Hurst shifter. I also have a bench seat. My problem is I cant find a shifter long enough. The longest one Hurst has is 16.5"
I need one at least 20-24". Any ideas? Was thinking about making one from round stock, but seems like it would flex and not work right. Thanks! |

Re: need a shifter stick
Lot of people have made them, i think the round stock would work good as long as diameter is good.

Re: need a shifter stick
The Hurst stick lever made for our bench seat trucks is part #4331. You sometimes see them at swap meets. They will clear the seat.

Re: need a shifter stick
You can make one out of flat bar as well. Just heat it up where you want it bent and go from there.

Re: need a shifter stick
I use the lever out of an old Granny 4 speed. It looks factory.
