Looking for my father in laws old truck!

Back in the late 90's my bro in law got my father in laws truck, and let it go to pot. The thing that made this truck stand out is that it had a electric tilt front.
I helped my father in law (RIP) build this truck back in the early 90's. It was black with candy red flames, then I repainted it probably '97 with a GM medium blue. I'm sure it's been redone since then (if it's even still around)
It had a 350 in it.

Just wondering if anyone on the forum has it, or has seen it?
Be interesting to find out where it is these days.

My bro-in law lived in Marietta GA at the time when he got rid of it.
Also, the truck was a '63 C10 shortbed stepside.

If you have a cop friend, give him the VIN, license number etc and he/she can see if it is presently registered. also some times the DMV folks will give you this info, but they wont give you names or addresses.

Good idea Clyde. Don't know the vin # though. Last I saw the truck was late 90's.
Fat chance it's around...but who knows. Worth a shot. I think the tilt front would be the give-away it was his.

Re: Looking for my father in laws old truck!

I had the License Plate number for My Lost 65. (my avatar & signature)
I called the DMV and they gave me the VIN# and told me it was still registered and owned by someone here local.
That's the only info she could give me.

It was suggested here to hire a Private Investigator.

Obviously you know your Father In Law's name.
A PI could likely find vehicles that were registered in his name.

Re: Looking for my father in laws old truck!

I was told the same for my truck. It came with the owners registation to a Harold S Tune in Penn Valley California, but with a P.O. box address. While the DMV could not give me the info, they also suggested a private investigator.
