Hood to front fender gap
Does anyone know what the gap/distance between the front fender and hood when closed, on the side. Maybe an 1/8 inch...?

About the thickness of the rubber bumpers.
I think there's 3 or 4 per side. |

Re: Hood to front fender gap
That is the most miserable gap on the whole truck! Even the nice trucks at shows mostly have lousy gaps there. I've used 1/8 rod and strap with the weld and grind process, like doing the doors, to get mine to the 1/8 gap area and plan to shave the snubbers to fit after paint. After countless hours of work, the gaps are still not perfect but I went to a big show this weekend and looked at others and now I don't feel so bad. Mine is a 55 2nd series, I don't know how the older truck owners feel.
