Steering Column Problem

Hello, ok so i recently picked up a 1985 k-5 blazer, The guy i bought it from was having a ground issue something would pop the fuse on the firewall when he started it. So he took alot of stuff apart to try and find the problem. Finally he unpluged the A/c and everything is fine now, no issues. But now im left to put everything back together im having a problem putting the steering column wiring back in. To start it im having to put like a nail in that blue box and slide it to the left. im not sure what to do so im hoping one of you do. Heres a couple pics i took of it.

it would be easer to drop the stearing colom but the box goes on top of the colom but i hope you got all the hardware that tends to come up missing best place to go is the scrap yard drop the colom and pocket the hardware but take pics or remember how it came apart but yea drop that colom down and it goes right on top and the rod goes in the hole in the black slide

Not an easy job to start with. The "blue box" is the ignition switch, once it's in place, move the switch toward the steering wheel, while turning the key to "start". Lock the switch down when the engine cranks. Good luck, Ron..
