looking for a frame
iam in need of a frame for a 68 short bed and was wondering what i could use thanks

first off to the boards from NC....
You can use a frame from 67-72 trucks....I assume that's what you are asking.... frames from other trucks have been used, but modifications will be necessary

67 frames don't have the dimple for a power steering box, but that is easily fixed. Coil rear, leaf rear, 4x4 may use different brackets and have holes deilled in different places. There's also a bracket for the clutch linkage on manual trans trucks.

Don't know where crosby is but I see them on Craigs on occasion. Just do a search for 67 chevy, 68 chevy, 69, 70, etc.
As an example I did a quick search for 70 chevy and found a short bed in North Houston. It looks like it has leaf springs though. http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/2577733586.html |
