How to preserve surface rust?
I have a all original 1987 longbed red/white factory paint 350/700r4. The question i have is, it has some surface rust on top of the cab and on the hood, how can i preserve this from happening anymore, and keep the original paint? I want to know if CLR works and do i use a sand paper or? Thanks

Re: How to preserve surface rust?
Sand down the rust. Use "Rust Mort" and repaint the area. Be sure to use rubber gloves , eye protection, resperator.

Re: How to preserve surface rust?
CLR works miracles. Dont touch it with sand paper if you are trying to save any OE paint like you said in the original post.
