need help with a tilt teardown question-pics

I have a tilt column from a 71 or 72 blazer that I am taking a part to lube and paint. As you can see by the pictures, I have got almost everything a part except for the removal of the column tube and the bases that enclose the turn signal stuff and tilt mechanism. I can't find a diagram to proceed with-I don't see anything else I can unscrew to get it a part. Need your help on how to finish this project. How does it come a part? I did find a phillip screw in the hole where the shift lever goes-took it out and nothing. i didn't start banging on it yet 'cause I would still like to use it!

Here are a couple links to previous threads.

Biggest problems I had were removing the "cover" as it's called in the diagram and the shift tube.

That top cover piece is just a tap press fit on the housing. Just use something soft like a wood scrap in one of the holes and it should come off with one whack. If you are going to disassemble the whole column the pics posted by firstowner69 will help.

Thanks Guys-I didn't find it the first time around-got it all a part and cleaned up. need to paint next. What is a good grease to assemble with? is white lithium too light or should I use wheel bearing grease?

and I almost forgot is the original color semi-gloss black or something different? Thanks for all your help everyone.

I used wheel bearing grease... but not a lot. I'm not sure what the gloss level of paint is original. I did one with satin and one with semi-gloss. Both look good to me.
