sound and heat insulation

Question for people who have installed products such as Dynamat. When you install it, how "stuck" is it to the floor? Can I "unstick" it, do some work, for example, on that area and stick it back down?

once unstuck you can not use it again. Ihad some down and tried to pull it up and it left the sticky stuff all over. just my $.02

Ok since we are on this topic, what is the best bang for your buck, as far as sound deadening material goes? Also where to get it? Canadian retailers would be preferred Because I want to do some sound deadening, but I don't know where to start. I know there is Dynamat, but what are some other options, possibly cheaper ones?

MandarinSixSeven, I know there is a company or two in Saskatchewan. I have a sample of their products at home. I will try to remember to get the contact info for you. Alternatively, Carolina Classic Trucks Inc. has a great deal on Dynamat. Check this link.

www.sounddeadeningmaterial.com

They're in Sask and great to deal with( I just love typing out their name) I bought a roll of their product awhile back and I'm probably going to use it in my <cough> Honda<cough> this summer and maybe put some Brown Bread or Dynamat over top. I think Visions or Future Shop sells Brown Bread in relatively small sheets so you can check it out.

Also I found a place;
http://www.b-quiet.com./

that has good info on products AND they'll send you a piece of paper with various samples taped to it so you can see the differences. Well worth the couple of bucks they ask IMHO AND they're a Canajun company.

Hope that helps a little

Greg
