New Seats question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Has anyone purchased seats from Discount-Van-Truck (discountvantruck)?
How is the quality of their products? Hate to pay freight on something like this unseen.

Quotes to reupholster my original seats run $375 - $425. For that much maybe it's time for an upgrade.

I would go with newer seats with integral seat belts, like a late model Silverado or Sierra - I have seen them for about $250 - recover may or may not be needed. Fabricating brackets might make seats higher. Also, late 90s Chrysler Sebring convertible seats.

Here is a link from FSC that I read. It's a really good write-up and it shows how nice the seats really are. These were put in a '78 K10.

No problem! If you can afford them, I strongly suggest buying them. They look really nice.

Aren't those seats really expensive? Who can say how long they'd last? Have they been out that long?

Hit a couple of salvage places today. Didn't really find much of any value. Back to the drawing board.
