96 Caprice N2billet Style

I had a 93 Caprice Wagon a few years back that I shaved, lowered and had billet wheels on. I loved that car! it rode great, got good gas mileage on the highway but after a few years I really needed a truck again so I sold it. So, here lately I've been driving out to my folks place alot to help out my mom and the miles are really starting to add up on my crewcab so I thought I would try and find a cheap car that got decent gas mileage but would still be able to hold a small army I was talking with a buddy at work one day and he ask me if I would sell his dad's one owner 84k white caprice, I love it when they fall into your lap like that! A deal was struck and later that day I had me a new pawpaw machine. The plan for this one is simple: I'm going to try and make it look like a modified Police car. I've ordered a lowering kit already that will lower it 3", I've pulled all the molding off as well as the pin striping. I'm going to shave the hood and the trunk of the emblems, paint the front and rear bumpers (no more chrome) paint the post on the doors flat black. Then add some 20" Centerline smoothies, paint the centers flat black and then add a dog dish hubcap. I also added a SS grille that I will be making a few changes. It should be a fun car after it's done and save my crewcab in the process!

I bought a 2/3 drop but I'm going to trim the front springs a little to get another 1/2 inch.

You need to get one of those sirens that you reach out and stick on the roof. Then you could mess with someone you know when your behind them.

Today's progress: welded up the hood emblem, the trunk emblem and molding. I also installed the new springs.

I've ordered 20' Centerline smoothies for it that I'm going to paint flat black so I've covered all the bases.

I'm sure you're aware of several powdercoat shops in your area. East Dallas has several to choose from...

Thanks!
You don't have any 73-80 parts laying around do you ? We might be able to work out something very budget friendly for you.

It's not really flat black, it's more of a semi.....I painted all the stuff under the hood of my 67 with it.

Re: 96 Caprice N2billet Style

I've had this idea recently (inspired by 68SWB4x4's wagon), but I know you'll do it better than I can, even in my imagination!

I was thinking black front/rear with white doors, like old school cop cruisers...Name: mopp_0410_01_z+1989_diplomat_police_car+stealth_bomber.jpg

Re: 96 Caprice N2billet Style

I need a nice passenger fender badly. It's been holding my build up for a year now. A nice hood too if I can find one. If not I can go cowl hood but the fender is a must have. 73-80 Dash pad ? 84-87 manual shift tilt column ?
