Re: My Find
thanks for the welcome, I have lurked on this forum for a while. I have always loved the 67-72 trucks. I do signs on the side of my full time job and when lettering a 63 c10 I just fell in love with all the lines of the 60-66's. I decided I'd shop for a 66 (my birth year). Did some snooping around and one of my wife's uncle's said there was a 66 sittin in a town close by. Come to find out it came from Colorado. I had him put some feelers out to see if the owner would sell. We picked it up today. It has the original 283, 4 spd. Seat appear to be circa mid 70's. Unmolested door panels, oe radio and believe it or not...everything works....even the spot light. Tailgate is in unbelievable condition. Box floor is shot. My plans are to Clean it inside/out, put some rally's on it with some new rubber. Motor runs but has a miss. Hoping it's a plug/wire...it sounds damn good. Lower it moderately and do some weathered sign shop signs. I imagine while the snaps for the tonneau are drilled through box side I should utilize them. I am intrigued by the CLR process. Front fenders (lowers) are toast as well. Very solid Truck.

Welcome to the board. Good to see another iowa member on here. Seems like us 60-66 guys are starting to outnumber the 67-72guys at our get togethers anymore. Maybe we could get you to join us for the next one.

Re: My Find
I was checkin out the pics of the motor there and it looks like you have a power brake assist unit? I didnt know anything like that existed. Is this correct? If so, thats a cool add-on.
