? Will a 1979 3/4 Ton Chevy front end directly bolt into my C20?

A friend has a 1979 3/4 ton that he's parting out and willing to sell me the complete front end. It looks like it unbolts completely whereby I could take and bolt into my 1969 C20 Suburban with no modification. My drum brakes work great, but if I could get 3/4 ton disc brakes up front, I'd prefer that.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

Probably so, when I pulled the front cross member/ suspension assembly out of an 88 1/2 ton suburban and bolted it under my 67 1/2 ton GMC PU, two bolt hole were 1/2 a hole off and two were a whole, hole off but all the rest were dead on! That's 21 years apart and it bolted up with disc brakes and a faster ratio, high effort power steering, cheaper bushings and ball joints, and a large diameter anti sway bar. Auto zone has a complete new 71 chevy PU power brake master/booster combo that was in the $200 range a half dozen years ago. that bolts up and works perfect at least on a 1/2 ton..

Oops, I meant my '69 doesn't have the sway bar. I don't think Late now, I'll check in the am. But that '79 that I might get has the sway bar. It's massive.

I had a 69 panel delivery back in 1973. When I got it, the thing cornered like a boat then I noticed it didn't have an anti sway bar. Don't know why, but I could tell it never had one because of the rivets on the frame. I pulled a bar form a junk yard truck and installed it on the panel and it drove much better!
