yet another dome light thread
ive been checking the archives on dome light issues, since mine isnt working. Ive changed the bulb and brought the orange and white wires out from under the carpet. The wires look ok, I dont see any breaks. I used a test light at the connector and Im not getting power. That would make me think the problem is back at the fuse box. However, the tail lights and courtesy lights are on the same fuse. My tails work, so that would rule that out right? What should I check from there?
Also i saw where the courtesy lights and cig lighter are connected. I removed the cigerette lighter, and capped that wire end. Could that be causing the problem? If anyone has any ideas Im sure it would help. Im stumped lol It may be worth noting that Ive got no courtesy lights either, and nothing when I turn the wiper switch back.

Re: yet another dome light thread
Just save yourself the headache and replace the orange and white wires all the way from the dome light to where they go under the dash. I spent an hour last week figuring out why my light didn't work and I couldn't see any breaks in the wires but they were broken and I replaced them and bingo!
Also, do you have an interior light under the dash by the ash tray? That is on the same circuit as the dome light. So if it works, then the wires going back are faulty. Hope this helps. -Cort
