Exhaust pipe size?
Stock Exhaust O.D. on a 1984 Chevy C10 stepside? 2.5 inch?

Yes I do believe that is correct. My 82 C10 had 2.5"...

its double wall tubing from factory so inside diameter is close to 2 1/4

Stock iron manifolds have 2" fittings, so they usually use that size pipe for the whole system if it has full duals. If it runs into a cross-over and a single pipe, I'm not sure how much bigger that pipe is. Most of the aftermarket duals from Hooker and other companies use 2 1/4" pipe, since it will handle engines up to about 325-350 hp.
Some folks (and manufacturers) add larger tips on the pipes to make it look like bigger pipe. My Mustang has 2 1/2" dual pipes, but you can get up to 4" factory tips to put on the mufflers. Bruce |

Mine's aftermarket, built by Ken's in Ft Collins for me via my requirements.
2.5" duals with "H" pipe, straight out the back. Hookers provide the flow. Perfect. Todd.
