Cleaned IAC today, but did I harm the IAC?
I took the IAC off and cleaned it today it wasn't dirty at all really. Anyway while I had it out I pushed on the tip of the plunger and it went in some but didn't pop back out. By doing that did I hurt the iac in anyway?

Re: Cleaned IAC today, but did I harm the IAC?
No, normally it will not hurt it. The IAC is just a motor, it has a little plunger that is controlled by the ECM. Basically a controlled vacuum leak with the engine running.
after re installing cycle the key and leave it on, it will go through its motions and reset itself. Desert |
