new truck

Ok quick question I just recently aquired an 84 4wd was told ran great....... A year and a half ago. I haven't stried to start yet. So where do I start. I was going to put heet and stabil in tank. I've never bought a vehicle that sat so long. I kno front brakes are siezed. So i will take that apart. Owner told me his son rebuilt trans awhile ago but forgot to put a pan seal so no fluid. I believe its stuck in 4wd cause I put the 4wd shifter in N and put back tires on tow dolly and the front tires slid and wouldn't rotate but when flat it rolled when i pulled it to side. Any advice would be great

Re: new truck

Last one I did that had sat for a few years, I just removed the spark plugs (inspect and replace if needed) and put a little marvel mystery oil in the holes and let it sit. This let a little lubrication go down and loosen everything up. I poured some fresh gas in the carb after putting additives in the gas tank along with a few fresh gallons of gas. Fired right up with a new battery after that.

There was a pretty good article somewhere about what to do in this situation, maybe in the engine section here is where I seen it.
