Script Valve Covers, Small Block

I have a set of script valve covers that were used for mock up and then we went to aluminum covers. These were over $100 new. Asking $50 shipped.

I'll take them, they are in new condition, no dings or scratches?

Re: Script Valve Covers, Small Block

They were bolted on an engine but never run. They have slight scuffs and scratches from being on the shelf, etc... nothing major. I was going to have them powdercoated Chevy Orange anyway!

Re: Script Valve Covers, Small Block

Send 'em on back man, I'll be glad to refund your money. Remember the next time you buy "used" parts ($130 valve covers for $50 shipped) that they might need a little lovin to make them be just as you would like them to be. I told you they werent "NEW" in the ad. A 2x4 and a tap from a body or ballpeen hammer and they'd be perfect. How many of us have had to do that before? Sorry they didnt work out for ya...

I am trying to be polite about this but I don't appreciate the lecture about buying used parts. I specifically asked and you didn't tell me they were bent, now I'm out the money to ship them back to you. I have no problem "massaging" a part if I know ahead of time and I am paying accordingly.

To me these arent "bent" I have bought plenty of these type valve covers "used" and they all needed some lovin.
You knew you were paying accordingly when you bought some valve covers that were originally $130 plus shipping (original ad provided) and you got them for $50 shipped.

Re: Script Valve Covers, Small Block

If someone else on the board wants to buy them for the $50 shipped knowing they need to be straightened around the bolt holes then I would be willing to ship the covers directly to them if you split the shipping cost to them. That way we are both only out half the shipping cost. If not, I will ship them back to you.

Re: Script Valve Covers, Small Block

Not trying to lecture you, just stating facts. Used is used. I will be glad to send you your money, just ship them back, hell, I'll even cover the shipping. No big deal. I will straighten them and resell them, no worries. I'm trying to be polite too. If I wasnt I'd tell you they are as is but I'm not that type of person.

Re: Script Valve Covers, Small Block

I'm not going to keep going back and forth about this, I specifically asked the condition, if you had mentioned they were tweaked around the bolt holes I would have passed.
