side exhaust routing
I have an 86 long-box Chevy, I wanted to bring the exhaust out at a 45 degree angle in front on the rear wheels on each side, I have found that this is a problem because of the gas tank location. I have seen this done before and I was wondering how it was done . also just wondering if its possible to have both pipes come out the side opposite of the gas tank and still remain true duals. thanks to anyone that can help me out !

Re: side exhaust routing
Tha tank shouldn't be a issue aslong as they is enuff air space between tha tank
& the pipe. yes you can run both down one side & still be dual. it would take mounting tha mufflers on there side next to each other &some good skills with a pipe bender.

Re: side exhaust routing
almighty awesome ! thanks for the tip , I'm still a little sketched out by having the pipe that close to the tank but I guess if its done right I shouldn't need to worry much , maybe make a heat shield if that's what I decide to do

Re: side exhaust routing
Exhaust should be at least 3" from gas tank... if closer then it needs to be shielded!
