78 lb stepside new guy from Colorado.

Hey there, my name is Anthony and I have posted on the forums in the past in regards to an old 70 burb I had. Found too much rust and now have this toy. Picked up a couple of weeks ago, I plan on giving the pickup a nice sound system and then laying her down.

Any good recommendations on dip kits? I don't want to break the bank but can understand that new arms, shocks ect are going to cost a little money. I'm thinking something along a 4/6" drop. Thank you in advance, I'm sure this Has been answered before. I appreciate any help here.

look for some drop spindle's and mabey cut a coil off, then out back look into a flip kit. that'll have her sit'n nice and you could add a shackle kit if ya need'd more out back .

Any thoughts on this kit?
I noticed they are a site sponsor, everything seems reasonable on the install. The one thing I am curious about is the c-notch install. Does it require welding?
Also, any reason that these kits wouldn't work on a long bed?

Thats a nice truck i would not drop her but its your call. I ordered a belltech kit for mine its ok one day i will take her back to stock ride height since my needs from my truck have changed since my 20's

Looks like someone did a sweet restore on the bed. I wished mine was that nice...and long too. With my little experience with spindles I learned that some have clearance issues, depending on the wheels. I think if I were to do it again I'd go witht the 2.5" spindle rather than the 3" (I have 3" Beltech's) It should give you a little more clearance between the lower control arm and the wheel. Shop around and do your research.

That kit listed above for the front looks like the way to go. As for the rear well... I'll hold my opinoins to myself. Depending on your springs you may not need the C notch. I remeoved the bump stop and beefed up the factory saggy springs.
