Silverado Bench question please help

I am looking to put a 88-98 Silverado bench in my 51 GMC . I know it fits perfectly . Question . I have a brand new tank with working guage and sender behind the seat . I do not want to move this tank . Will I still gain some substantial leg room, leaving the factory tank behind the seat ? I have a great factory seat now but tight on leg room with that seat .
Any and all help appreciated .
thanks

Re: Silverado Bench question please help

You should be fine. I had one mocked up in mine and it looked good. Decided to go with 2001 seats and lost the in cab tank.
