Tank coversion
I was wondering where i could get the gas tank to put under the bed of the truck and remove it from the cab. Cant stand the smell of gas anymore, and what else do i need to get all this done. I want to get this done before I redo the bed. I have a 1963 c10 fleet side. but its sitting a 1972 frame.

Re: Tank coversion
If you do a search, there are countless options based on your budget and how much effort you want to put in.
I am using an RCI fuel cell and made custom mounts. It fits between the frame rails under the bed. You could use a blazer tank, too. But there are a ton of custom options.

Re: Tank coversion
I'm using a 14 gallon Summit Racing fuel cell mounted where the spare tire should go. They sell mounting straps to match it. Works well.
Classic Parts also has traditional gas tanks available for what you want to do. http://www.classicparts.com/ Just a thought too, before I removed my tank from the cab it had a horrible gas smell. Turns out the first problem was that the rubber fill neck was coming loose from the tank letting fuel vapor into the cab. The second problem occurred shortly after when I hit a pot hole, and gas started leaking all over the inside of the truck. Those things rust from the inside out fast, so you could have a leak forming.
