New old member intro and ?'s

Hello all,
I just came back to this forum after discovering it and signing up some years ago. I am isolated in Alaska and have had about every series of chevy truck Starting with my ( unfortunately sold) First series '55 ( you know the ones that look like a '54) and still have the last project my father and I completed. A factory 4x4 72 lwb originally a 250 six with a 4 speed, but now a 383 with TBI and a 700r4 My '63 unfortunately also gone now was a LWB 2wd with 292 (3/4 ton) and a SM 465.

My current interest though is my '68 C-60 ( Heaviest options for a 60 ... 32,000 GVWR) with a 427 and Air brakes. I don't see a medium duty area and i would love to connect with some people with info or experience with these old medium duties.

For instance, I am sorely in need of the "shift tower" for the transmission ... there are two top plates on this one... the large one that holds all the forks and then a very small one that just forms the cup base for the shifter... someone managed to break mine ( and lose the pieces) while removing the engine. its a spicer 5 speed... 5856? or 5658 I will have to check.

Thanks
Dan
