pre 87 carb vs. 87 tbi motor? pros cons?
I've owned 2 early 80s c10s and a 79 k5 blazer! I'm ready to buy another c10 and was considering buyin an 87 I've found. How much would mpg chang if both were stock running the same drivetrain? Power? Which would you chose and why? Both would be a 350ci engine btw. Thanks

Re: pre 87 carb vs. 87 tbi motor? pros cons?
I have both a 79 stepside with a 600 edelbrock and a 88 crew with tbi. I love both trucks but hate dealing with the stepside after it has sat for a few days or when it is cold. The crew is so easy just hop in and turn the key, fires up first time every time. Given the option I would go tbi every time.

Ive got one TBI truck and three carbed, they all fire right up and run and its about 15° here in the AM. If its a DD truck i would go TBI. Can't say as far as mileage cuz i never keep track.

Well guys thanks! I'm actually looking a tbi c10s and k5s! The guy up the street wants 7500 for this 87 and imma try to talk him down to 6000 if its got the 700r4 trans! Decisions decisions! I've had an 89 tbi z71 but mpg sucked due to 33s and being heavy!
