67 throttle return trouble
i have a 67 with the rod style throttle linkage, i have a 1406 edelbrock and im racking my brain over the throttle return springs, im looking at this bracket that jegs offers, i like the look and it looks as if it will clear up clutter on the manifold, it says for edelbrock square flange, so would it even fit my application?
http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS+Performan...15127/10002/-1 here is what im working with: i plan on using the big hole for the return and that smaller hole to put the throttle linkage in:

Re: 67 throttle return trouble
Looks like it would work to me, I used to use the old return spring bracket that went on the front intake manifold bolt to hook a spring onto the carb linkage. and yes "edelbrock square flange" is correct. Ive seen plenty of redneck return springs attached to anything they could find in front of the carb (tstat housing bolt)

Re: 67 throttle return trouble
In a recent search thru the assy manual I saw that the pedal at the firewall has two holes. The upper hole connects the linkage, lower hole has the return spring in it going to a bracket on the intake. The pics in the assy manual get a little fuzzy at best but this is how it shows.HTH. muley
